Description
Recently I found warnings of the JOSM validator (Prüfung) with the warning "Missing attribute - Railway crossing without railway=level_crossing" (in my german version it is "fehlendes Merkmal - Bahnübergang ohne railway=level_crossing"; I don't know, whether my translation meets the message in the english version).
However in this case, that aren't railway level_crossings, because the ways of the street and the tram ar overlaying and have therefore common nodes.
Would it be possible to enhance the validator so that the warning is raised only, if the common node of railway and highway is a singular node? Means: if the consecutive node of the railway is the same highway, suppress the warning, because then it is obvious that railway and highway are overlaying ways, following the same way and not are a crossing.
The example that I found and checked on the ground:

It is a section of the tram in the street König-Karl-Straße in Bad Wildbad, Germany.
Especially for trams such situations are not unusual, so it might be valuable to enhance the validator.
Bye,
Rainer
For trams the warning is disabled. You shouldn't get a warning when you (without uploading) change the way to railway=tram in JOSM.
It seems we should handle light_rail similar to tram.
