Zoom tool with "Z" key doesn't activate

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Press the "Z" key on a keyboard to activate the zoom tool

What is the expected result?

The zoom tool should activate when the "Z" key is pressed.

What happens instead?

Nothing happens - the tool you're currently using remains active after pressing the Z key.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

This didn't always fail, but it's been more than a year.

The default shortcut for this working mode was removed, see #12660.

You need to enable Help/ExpertMode (if not already done) and manually set the shortcut in the preferences. (or use the button in the left sidebar)
