OK, there's an advanced and sadly undocumented feature here. The Ctrl-Alt-J and Ctrl-Alt-P are multikey shortcuts. That means, you currently have to initialize the shortcut with Ctrl-Alt-J, then enter the layer index in which you want to jump to a given marker.

You will see the text "... [please type its number]" in the status bar when the shortcut is initialized.

After you enter a valid layer index (1 for example, if you have only one GPX layer), you can then repeat this operation in subsequent calls by repeating the letter:

  • Ctrl-Alt-J,J to jump to next marker in the previously chosen layer
  • Ctrl-Alt-P,P to jump to previous marker in the previously chosen layer

This is a bit tricky and can be enhanced without removing this advanced feature.

For example if there's a single relevant layer we can choose its index instead of asking for it.
