Preference option to use ssl for all connections

Description
When switching from http to https, you need to adjust several preferences' entries (api,OAuth ...).
Would be nice to have an general checkbox to simply switch between insecure and secure methode for all connections at once.

not so easy and not worth it. I prefer to switch default URLs to https when applicable and allow to change them in advanced preferences.
Well, if it is OK for OSM and the higher resource consumption, I do not mind your solution at all.
