Search doesn't replace selection

In "Draw nodes (A)" mode with a selected way, after hitting Mac+F (find) and a search with "replace selection" mode the way remains selected like in the "add to selection" mode.

I cannot reproduce (r5032). While testing, the selected ways is kept selected only if it is matched by the search pattern (thus, as expected).

Which version are you using? Please attach example file together with used search pattern.

With last week's josm-latest I see this issue more frequently and it's slightly different now. I never stopped seeing it, including when switching from Mac to Linux.

What I do is, in "Draw nodes" mode, click on may points on highways, to create nodes. They are joined by the new way, so to select the nodes I search for "child selected". Now it looks like both the nodes and the way are selected. But when I add a new tag (highway=crossing), it only gets added to the way. Before, it would get added to both the nodes, and the way, which I believe was also incorrect.
