Download only a specific object category

Hi, would be nice if the JOSM download dialogue could be extended to download only specific things e.g. roads when you just wan't to add a route, so buildings etc, are irrelevant.

No. This would produce to many defective data uploads. We have a filter feature now, which can be used to reach same goal. People who really want to use data subsets need to know what the do and should not have easy ways using a standard editor.
