Description
As discussed here
http://www.mail-archive.com/dev@openstreetmap.org/msg10732.html
it would be nice to start josm directly from a hyperlink.
On http://khtml.org the link exists, but josm does not open.

Using a platform dependent start up script like other java projects (e.g. Vuse/Azureus, Eclipse, ...) this would be possible.

Sure, but it's not our task. I manage e.g. the RPM packages of JOSM for openSUSE and they are the right place for integrating such stuff. JOSM itself is not. (I already did integration of *.osm files there although due to Linux changing every second day it is broken on newer versions).
This is a task of browsers and/or operating system support not of JOSM. There is nothing JOSm can do to suport this. JOSM is a java editor and not tied to Qt or other special software.
