What is a "turn-restriction symbol"? I had a look at the London examples as described in http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM_Relations_and_Turn_Based_Restrictions but I couldn't find a "symbol", neither on the map nor in JOSM.

Yes, the pages seem a little bit outdated. If you download this in JOSM:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=41.853554&lon=12.544833&zoom=18&layers=B000FTF
you will notice a small blue circle with white arrow near the turnrelation (on the map).

Would be a great enhancement of the new turn restriction editing functions.

Yes, I've been thinking about this too. As far as I saw it would have an impact on the JOSM core. If it was possible to do it in a plugin, I would probably already have done it last month. Since the JOSM core is still in its eternal stabilization phase I don't want to touch it, though.

Well, this is not easy as the symbol position is not stored anywhere, so the system does not know about the fact that there is a symbol.
