Upload not working anymore

Description

When I try to upload data the progress beam goes to 100 % - and after a couple of minutes disappears. If I try to upload a second time I get an error message like "Übertragung wegen eines Fehlers abgebrochen (Wiederholung in 5 Sekunden): java.io.IOException: Server
returned HTTP response code: 409 for URL: http://www.openstreetmap.org/api/0.6/changeset/884572...". The error occurs with JOSM 1529 and JOSM 1546. The data was converted via the python script provided on http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2009-April/036116.html
I also want to remark that the upload dialog cannot be canceled via the cancel-button. It is possible to cancel the dialog with the x-button in the upper right corner of the dialog, but in this case the upload dialog takes around 2 minutes to appear (and then of course gives the error message desribed above again).
