Tags merging not working properly in Conflate plugin

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Open the Conflate Configure window, select Reference and Subject datasets (anything) and select Simple matching.
2. Fill inn tag names in the Tags field and/or in the two data fields on the Merge Tags line (leave All unchecked).
3. Hit Generate Matches button
4. Try to conflate a matched pair in the main Conflate window

What is the expected result?

1. Only pairs where the tag given in the Tags is matching should get a match.
2. When hitting the Conflation button in the main Conflate window, only the tags specified in the two data fields on the Merge Tags line should be merged.

What happens instead?

1. The tag name in the Tags field in the Configure window does not seem to have any effect on the generated matches. My understanding is that this tag should have matching content. This works when Advanced merging has been selected.
2. The tags specified on the Merge Tags line do not have any effect on which fields are actually being merged. Instead, all tags are being merged. Same problem when Advanced merging has been selected.
