#23615 new defect

Incorrect warning: crossing barrier/way, for fence entering water

Reported by: Famlam Owned by: team
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Core validator Version:
Keywords: template_report barrier water Cc:

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Have a fence that continues a bit into the water (for example to prevent cattle from escaping through shallow water / at unusually low water levels)
  2. Validate, get warning message

What is the expected result?

Fence is allowed to continue into the water

What happens instead?

Warning: crossing barrier/way

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

I suspect that isWaterArea([way A]) vs [way B].hasKey(BARRIER) should be whitelisted from CrossingWays.java, but not sure.

I have a similar case in my area with waterway=ditch in a landuse=meadow and barrier=fence crossing, but I don't know for sure how it really looks like.
