history view revert regression

Description

Some time ago, in the history view (ctrl + h), when you clicked on a value with the right mouse button, and selected "restore selected tags", it would instantly restore them. Now apparently nothing happens (the UI is not updated), but when you click into another field the one you restored before will become visible / updated. This is a regression because it worked before.

Can't reproduce that here with latest version r18934.

Thanks for your report, however your ticket is incomplete and therefore not helpful in its current form.

Please add all needed information according to this list:

  • Describe what behaviour you expected.
  • Describe what did happen instead.

Like GerdP, I too could not reproduce using r18934.

I think I understood what happened: when you restore a value from a history version without already having modified the relation (or object in general) in question, JOSM will do this but you might not see it instantly in the currently open history view because this operation would create a new version (e.g. 3) while the current history view would still be comparing (e.g. versions 1 and 2). After selecting the most recent version, it works as expected.

Ah, ok, I only looked at the properties window on the right and there the change is visible immediately.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain dieterdreist.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment


E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
