Every time i start JOSM, Open web start tries to update, and it always asks me to add a desktop shortcut

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. I am not sure. A long time ago I was reccomended to change from Java to Open Web Start. Now EVERY time i start JOSM open webstart tries to update from 1.5 to 1.8 (even though i have 1.8 installed, and EVERY time it asks to add a desktop shortcut for JOSM.

For the openwebstart update, you may have installed one version globally and one version for your user. If that is the case, you should probably uninstall the version for your user.
