#22952 closed defect (fixed)

No way to check who I'm logged in as with OAuth 2.0

Reported by: zyphlar Owned by: team
Priority: normal Milestone: 23.06
Component: Core Version:
Keywords: oauth username Cc:

Description

Previously there was a button to Test Authentication where I could see which username I'm logged in as via OAuth, but in the latest version that button no longer exists. This is a problem for me when managing multiple locales, imports, or projects where it's important that I make changesets as a specific user. Can we have some way of seeing which OSM username our access token represents?

Technically, we can do that. With that said, why not use JOSM Preferences -> Display -> Show user name in title?

Ahh, never knew about it after searching the tickets for something similar. That works thanks, feel free to close if desired.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

In 18764/josm:

Fix #22952, #23013: Improve methods for seeing who is logged in to OSM

This adds a Test Authentication button to the OAuth 2 panel and updates the
current UserIdentityManager to have the appropriate details. In addition, this
fixes a problem whereby a user logged in via OAuth 2 would not be able to log in
via OAuth 1.
