Improve Way Accuracy: incorrect node removal

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Open attached osm file.
2. Select any of the two rectangles.
3. Press W to choose "Improve Way Accuracy" mode.
4. Alt + click on a node with tag "W; select any way; then Alt+W: closed way is incorrectly opened."

What is the expected result?

Node is removed from selected rectangle, way is now a triangle.

What happens instead?

One segment is removed from selected rectangle, closed way is opened.
Deleting any other node of selected rectangle works correctly.
