"draw.data.area_outline_only=false" doesn't work.

Reported by: WlaKom Owned by: WlaKom
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Core mappaint Version: tested
Keywords: area outline only Cc:

Description

Under JOSM 18303 (expert mode)
"draw.data.area_outline_only=false" but still on.
Only works when the Potlach 2 style is ON and the default JOSM style is OFF.

When I switch the value from false to true I see different rendering with the JOSM default style, e.g. for building areas.
What exactly doesn't work?

comment:2 by WlaKom, 3 years ago

It doesn't work for "landuse".

comment:3 by WlaKom, 3 years ago

For buildings, it also doesn't work if we enlarge its outline.

What is it that doesn't work? What effect do you expect?
Maybe you are confused by the partial filling?
try changing preference
resource://styles/standard/elemstyles.mapcss:boolean:partial_fill
Edit: Maybe you have to restart JOSM to see an effect. Or change the mappaint style.

I would like to have full fill, not partial fill. Similar to Potlach 2 with color set for JOSM.

I have:

  1. Draw only outlines areas -> OFF
  2. Map paints style -> JOSM (Map CSS) -> ON

but I still have partial filling.

Yes, because the preference draw.data.area_outline_only=false only says that the style is "allowed" to fill areas. The style decides what objects are filled and how (partial or fully).
You have to set resource://styles/standard/elemstyles.mapcss:boolean:partial_fill=false
to disable partial filling for the JOSM default style.

How to do it under Windows 10?

comment:10 by WlaKom, 3 years ago

I think that partial_fill=false should be default.

Replying to WlaKom:

How to do it under Windows 10?

F12 -> advanced preferences -> search for partial and change the value for the coresponding style to false.
