What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open file
  2. Internal file chooser opens (in detail mode as set in preferences)
  3. Adjust width of columns
  4. Sort after modification time
  5. Change folder or load file and reopen the dialog

What is the expected result?

Columns' width and sorting is saved either per folder or as one general setting for all

What happens instead?

Width and sorting are always reset with too small width for the file name

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

I have to recheck if this is a regression.
The small default width for file names is a bug.
I have the problem with latest but it is also present in tested.

By the way, something is wrong with the name of the columns.

file dialogs are provided by Java, it's not JOSM code involved.

It is strange, as with detailed view set to default, on opening everything is fine but changing the folder messes up the width.
The column header problem is from flatlaf plugin, see #21531.

Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
