Panning using touchscreenhelper deselects ways

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Draw a way
  2. Pan the map using the touchscreenhelper plugin
  3. Try to continue the same way

What is the expected result?

Until a few months ago, the way drawn before panning the map would remain selected and the function 'Draw nodes' would still be on, meaning that you could right away continue adding nodes, just as if you panned using the mouse right click.

What happens instead?

Lately after switching back from touchscreen mode, the latest drawn way will be deselected, requiring you to manually select the way and manually go back to draw nodes mode again, thus adding several extra steps with each panning action.
