#21155 new enhancement

Split Object: Always use the selected unclosed way as split way

Reported by: skyper Owned by: team
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Plugin utilsplugin2 Version:
Keywords: Split Object way node neighbors Cc:

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Have a closed way
  2. Draw a new way between two neighboring nodes of the closed way, example file
  3. Select the new unclosed way (and optionally the closed way)
  4. Split Object

What is the expected result?

The closed way is split along the unclosed way.

What happens instead?

For both selections the identical warning: `
The selected way is not a split way, please select split points or split way too.`

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

If an unclosed way is selected, it should always be used as "split way", despite the neighboring nodes in the closed way.
