Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open the attached PNG in some image editing/viewing software that allows to copy it. Copy it to clipboard.
  2. Download a small piece of data around https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/58.38255/26.72458&layers=N .
  3. Imagery -> PicLayer from clipboard.
  4. Hide data layer, Pan around a bit, zoom in to some image area.

What is the expected result?

Handles the image.

What happens instead?

Error "JOSM is out of memory. Strange things may happen".

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

Tried it on windows but could not reproduce the bug. I guess this is not a PicLayer issue. Please have a look at #20641, the comments might help you solving the problem.
