Strange characters in validator results' object strings

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Have some data which will raise at least one validator warning
2. Run validator
3. Look at at objects mentioned in the validator panel.
4. (Copy the object line.)

What is the expected result?

No strange characters.
Copy should copy the content of the line.

What happens instead?

Strange characters around every part of the line.
Copy does give you the complete rule but not the displayed content of the line

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

Think this is a core defect but might be wrong.
