#19272 closed enhancement (fixed)

Add imagery of Uruguay

Reported by: muralito@… Owned by: team
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: External imagery source Version:
Keywords: Cc: stoecker

Description

I have been using imagery relased by the Uruguay government agenccy IDE.uy as open data.

From the several layers offered in https://www.gub.uy/infraestructura-datos-espaciales/geoservicios-ide
i use OTROFOTOS_2019.

wms:https://mapas.ide.uy/geoserver-raster/ortofotos/ows?FORMAT=image/png&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&VERSION=1.1.1&SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetMap&LAYERS=ORTOFOTOS_2019&STYLES=&SRS={proj}&WIDTH={width}&HEIGHT={height}&BBOX={bbox}

They are taken in 2019, with 10 cm / pixel in urban zones, and 30 cm/pixel in rural zones.

Please add to the defaults offered to use in Uruguay.
Thanks.

JOSM imagery is maintained in the wiki, see Maps. You'd create a new page Maps/Uruguay and provide the definition. For the documentation, see Maps#Documentation.

Added. Thanks.

Some little remarks:

  • projections need to be added
  • The name should be english (as it is part of the translations strings in JOSM), i.e. photo inszead of foto.
  • The "(WMS)" in the name is not needed, this is a more technical information most mappers have no interest in.

Done.

@Dirk: see https://mapas.ide.uy/geoserver-raster/ortofotos/ows?SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetCapabilities
I guess their dialog was: IT: "which projections should we support" boss: "yes" ;)
Using EPSGEXTRACT some are commented, but there are still a lot left. Should we really add all these to the maps page?

Hmm, useful are:

  • EPSG:4326 / CRS:84,
  • EPSG:3857,
  • the original projection (EPSG:5381?) and
  • any projection used in Urugay.

Everything else will never be called.

Done. https://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Maps/Uruguay?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&action=diff&version=7&old_version=5

BTW recently ImageryCompare returns most of the time "Error: Macro ImageryCompare(None) failed Could not start comparison script"

Added another workaround for error messages coming from initialization of JOSM classes.
