What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Create new edit layer
- Select Bing as background (optional)
- Download node 1707790074 without referers
What is the expected result?
Node is shown within an area of maybe 20m width & height
What happens instead?
Node is shown with only a few mm around it:

No. That's only the Follow function, that should have nothing to do with the zoom.

Probably my fault, snapshot r14983 was OK, r14986 shows the problem. So I'll check r14985.
