Description
Following a post on talk I have tried to look at old extracts (converted from former API versions) as downloadable here: https://osm.fit.vutbr.cz/extracts/
Unfortunately, there is no user ID (and invalid timestamps) in the files, but there are object IDs. When I opened an extract in JOSM, it didn't show the object ID (i.e. also history information was not available). It would be nice if there was a warning (like "incomplete metadata") but still the object IDs would be usable / viewable.

sorry for the noise, I did somehow not notice that some of the ojects in the dataset (those created from segments) had negative ids. For the other objects, which had correct ids but had other metadata (user ids and names) missing, JOSM worked like a charm.
What I did notice was some discrepancy between the website display (of timestamp information) and the JOSM history.
I can imagine 2 reasons for this:
- timezones vs. UTC
- changesets have 2 timestamps (AFAIK), opened and closed.
Maybe JOSM could give a hint which timestamp is displayed here, e.g. "Date (cs closed)" or "Date (UTC)" etc.
Please be more specific, I don't see any obvious problem:
