  2. Select image layer (e.g. Esri)

What is the expected result?

  1. an aerial photograph

What happens instead?

  1. an aerial photograph with full red text (error message)

Works for me. Can you display this tile using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer (not Firefox or an other browser) ? https://server.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/World_Imagery/MapServer/tile/19/207597/310560

If yes, it should work also with JOSM. Maybe you can try to update/reinstall Java.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick answer.

To display the tile you send me was no problem and Java is updated as well.
But the problem with the red text still exists.

At home everything works fine but this problem only occurs at my work location.

The system administrator thought it might have something to do with the firewall or the URLs of the photo layers.
We work with a whitelist of URLs and these URLs are probably blacklisted.
Can you provide me with the relevant URLs of the photo layers (see attached image) or indicate where I can possibly find them?
