Description
It's possible to toggle layers with Alt+1
, Alt+2
, etc, with 1
being the bottom layer, 2
the penultimate layer, etc
But when we have a lot of layers, like this, it starts to get difficult to quickly count or hit the desired layer number:
Could we have an option to display the layer numbers, please?
With something like this:

Hi Team,
Thanks for this new enhancement, this will definitely help JOSM editors to identify the shortcut to switch between multiple layers, but it would be more helpful if the entire shortcut is displayed instead of just numbers as shortcuts are customizable, displaying entire shortcut key will definitely be a permanent solution and will not impact if shortcut keys are changed.
Current feature: [1][2][3]
Proposing feature : [Alt -1][Alt -2][Alt -3][Alt -4]

1) Isn't it an expert feature?
2) Could you please make this optional, at least with a preferences key?
