One thing we could check is the behaviour if ways and their children are involved in multiple conflicts and you first solve the conflict of the way including the node and then solve a conflict to delete the node. I am not sure if the order of solving conflicts can matter. Especially in connection in situations where additional data has to be downloaded from server including deleted objects during an upload. See #8085
