Okey, it should be a feature request, where can i do this?
I would like to suggest a autocomplete polygon feature. as an example here is a picture of it
Would it be possible to add the function, that you only have to draw the marked black line and JOSM closes the Polygon between the black line and the already drawn forest polygon?
NOTE: this is an easy example picture, just to help understand my wish. And i know it is taken in iD, it was faster ;-)

Use the "Follow" function. Mark the first two points and the press <F> until you are out of the wanted line segment again. You can draw such elements VERY fast this way. No need for an additional funtion.

Not the same, maybe you miss understood me, anyhow all the big GIS programs have this function, because its fast and it makes sense to draw only the "free" boarder of a polygon instead of the hole thing. But when there is "no need" for improvment, we should all be happy and live a life of joy ;-)
"Follow" functions works poorly on my system i need to push the button for each point on the line, holding down does not work for me, dont know maybe a Mac issue 8El Capitan) or keyboard, i run the newest version of JOSM.

I know what you want, but that does not mean that you get what you want.
The GIS functionality you talk about is fine in systems where you try to get 100% area coverage. OSM doesn't have such a clear design and many people even don't agree that would be a useful goal (see e.g. discussions whether roads and areas should touch or not), so porting the function to JOSM makes not much sense and a lot of work (to fix all these special cases which are invalid in a proper GIS), whereas there already is a method to solve the same problem → worksforme.

Yes. You need to press <F> for each point. That's the idea of it. Try it for some time. It is fast. Sometimes with this redrawing is faster than fixing areas.
