Description
In Imagery Preferences, some rows are green, and some rows are white.
However there is no explanation there, nor in
https://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Help/Preferences/Imagery
of what the two different colors mean.

OK, so pressing the "V Activate" button will "activate" an item from
the top list, and also copy it into the bottom list.
But later some of the items in the bottom list might become white.
So please mention what that state is too.
In fact maybe the mouseover on each item should also fully describe its state.

Replying to jidanni:
"activate" an item from the top list, and also copy it into the bottom list.
No, thats the same "event".

OK I just verified this:
In Imagery Preferences, notice a line in the bottom window that is
white.
Now close the Imagery Preferences window, and pick that same line from
the Imagery menu.
On the console note indeed

Now return to Imagery Preferences.
The line is still white.
Now restart JOSM.
The line is still white.
Thus a line can be white, but still active.
Or the definition of "active" needs to be documented somewhere.

activate = copy from upper to lower list = entry is permanently part of the Imagery menu

OK maybe this is correct:
In upper table:
Green means item is also listed in lower table. (This is called "activated".)
In lower table:
Green means item is also listed in upper table.
In both tables if an item is white, it will only be found in one table,
not both.
Neither green nor white lines have any relation to the state / health of the
servers they mention, nor the validity of the URLs they contain.
If the above is correct, please tell me, and I will find a wiki page to
add it to. Thanks.

Yes. There is no automatic check if the external server actually delivers tiles.
Green means a activated default entry.
