#13063 closed defect (fixed)

"Select all" and "Search" ignore filters

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: simon04
Priority: normal Milestone: 16.07
Component: Core Version:

Description

Hi. Normally Ctrl-A selects all the objects in a given layer, and acts exactly the same as using the mouse to click-drag to make a box around all the visible objects. If any filters are enabled, however, then using the mouse only selects the in-filter objects, while Ctrl-A ignores the filter. This is highly surprising to the user: Ctrl-A should respect the filters.

Summary: Ctrl-A ignores filters"Select all" and "Search" ignore filters

This also holds true for the Search:

  1. Apply a filter
  2. Search for "" to match all primitives
  3. Note that the selection dialog also lists filtered-out primitives
