Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Clicking on Open. . .
- Clicking on the file in File Manager
What is the expected result?
Expected file to open
What happens instead?
Receive error message: Could not read file "Cape Coral 9.osm". Error is: line 55,117 column 23: An invalid XML character (Unicode 0x0) was found in the value of attribute "ref" and element is "nd".
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.
I am able to open other, older files, just not the current one. I really don't want to lose all that work. Thanks.

So what, exactly, does that mean to me or to my ability to open the file or my understanding of what happened and how to prevent it in the future?

It means that tickets needing information are closed after a reasonable period without response from you (in this case, 4 weeks). Now, if you attach your file, we could look what's wrong with it.
Can you please attach your file?
