NullPointerException in CleanupThread$2.compare

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Not really sure which steps replicate this issue. Had this a few times now and seems to happen with or without any data/layers showing. Usually within a minute after starting JOSM.

It started happening after upgrading to build 8800.

It's a Java bug, you should manually try to ​clear your cache and try again.
