Focus behaviour in search field

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Select one/more node/way.
2. Click in search field (top right).
3. Write some in search field and select it. A popup is opened.
4. Modify object details in popup window. Close popup window.

What is the expected result?

Focus should be in previous selected item, not in search field.

What happens instead?

Focus is in search field, so If I want to use a keyboard shortcut (add node -A-, delete node -X-...) I write in search field instead of do the keyboard shortcut.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

Which search field do you mean exactly?
The field in the Tags/Memberships panel?

I cannot verify this.
Please describe further.

I doubt that the focus is in a text field after closing another dialog.

Focus is in search field, so If I want to use a keyboard shortcut (add node -A-, delete node -X-...) I write in search field instead of do the keyboard shortcut.

Please hit the TAB key to move the focus back to the MapView. Afterwards all shortcuts work.

The menu search field was removed years ago.
