I agree. It is also wired for me that all those TLDs pop up. Even TLDs for cities or so … They don’t seem to understand the hierarchical approach of DNS …

This has been fixed very recently in Apache trunk, see https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VALIDATOR-305
Hmm, question is if that is a good idea anyway. With the enormous number of new TLD's (see http://data.iana.org/TLD/tlds-alpha-by-domain.txt) it looses it's sense. Even non-latin TLD's exist.
