Description

I am trying to update Lake Kariba in Southern Africa. The Lake is huge over 200kms long and 50kms wide. I have tried to combine the ways and then join that to the other bank but in reality I would need 5000 points or more for it to look right. What is the workaround to get this task done.

Oh, forgot that problem was mentioned on talk-de@ the last days. JOSM should warn when adding the 2000th node in draw mode and not only warn on upload.

The solution is always to split the way.
In your special case you need to use a multipolygon relation for the lake but this question suits the forum or talk@, tagging@.
