= Main menu > Audio = This menu controls the playback of an audio recording that you would have made to complement the GPS tracks you collected during surveying. If you are audio mapping a lot, you will probably want to use the [wiki:Help/Preferences/Toolbar Toolbar Preferences] to put the buttons for audio playback on your toolbar in the familiar arrangement of such controls. See [wiki:Help/HowTo/AudioMapping Audio Mapping] for techniques you might adopt to make efficient use of audio recordings. Also see: * [[Image(Help/Icons:importaudio.png,20)]] [wiki:Help/Action/ImportAudio Import Audio] to make an audio Marker Layer. * [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-sync.png,20)]] [wiki:Help/Action/SynchronizeAudio Synchronize Audio] with the GPS track. As well as these controls, you can jump directly to a point in the sound track related to a position on the GPX track by * dragging the play head [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-tracer.png,10)]] close to a trackpoint * if you don't see the orange play head arrow moving along the track while you play audio, make sure the 'Display live audio trace' option in [wiki:Help/Preferences/Audio Audio Preferences] is on. * clicking on an audio marker [[Image(Help/Icons:speech.png)]] == [wiki:Help/Action/PlayPause Play/pause] == [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-playpause.png)]] period == [wiki:Help/Action/NextMarker Next Marker] == [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-next.png)]] F8 == [wiki:Help/Action/PreviousMarker Previous Marker] == [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-prev.png)]] F5 == [wiki:Help/Action/Forward Forward] == [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-fwd.png)]] F7 == [wiki:Help/Action/Back Back] == [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-back.png)]] F6 == [wiki:Help/Action/FastForward Fast Forward] == [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-faster.png)]] F9 == [wiki:Help/Action/SlowForward Slow Forward] == [[Image(Help/Icons:audio-slower.png)]] SHIFT+F9 Back to [wiki:Help Main Help]
