Keyboard shortcut: J

Join a selected node into the nearest way segment by modifying the geometry of the way

The selected node keeps its position and an obtuse angle is created in the modified way.

Note: This action only works if the monitor distance between the node and the way is tiny. If it does not work, simply zoom further out.

Advanced Preferences

Property	Default	Explanation
mappaint.segment.snap-distance	10	The maximum distance in pixels to allow the action to work.
